Don Cook is a producer and started in the insurance business in 1969 as an Alabama Farm Bureau adjuster. Since then, he has gained the knowledge and experience of claims manager, marketing representative, owner of a General agency, and several retail agencies.

Don has attended multiple insurance schools, including Purdue University, obtained a BS degree from Troy State University, and completed two years of law school at the Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama. He has been a licensed agent in multiple states since 1979.

Don and his wife Diane have been married for 52 years and have two children, Chad, an attorney and principal with his firm, and Taylor, who is a paralegal. Don and Diane have three grandchildren; Parker, 15, Kirsten, 13, and Emma Grace, 11. The Cook family are members of the First Baptist Church of Montgomery, where Don serves in several roles, including Deacon, usher, and a member of the food service board, catering team, and security.

In his spare time, Don does a lot of charitable cooking, deer hunting, plays golf, and even builds golf clubs. He is a former football official and ended his career in the college arena after 28 years. He served six years on the Board of Governors for the Shriners Children’s Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. Don is a Mason, Shriner, and a member of the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery, in addition to owning two businesses.
